These 48 children aren't just names on a list; they are our bright, participative students from the English classes we've run at PPR Lembah Subang 1 since June 2025. Over the past year, we've built strong relationships with them. We've seen their resilience firsthand.
Coming from low-income households, these kids often fall into a "support gap" during festive seasons like Ramadan. Because they are not orphans, they have families; they frequently get sidelined from typical charitable contributions, despite living in situations where something as simple as a new box of pencils is treated as an absolute luxury.
We recall how their faces lit up just from receiving basic stationery. This Eid, we want to give them something truly joyful. We don't want to dictate their happiness. We believe the ultimate form of empowerment is giving them the pocket money to choose and spend exactly as they see fit.
Eid pocket money isn't just cash; it's the gift of autonomy.

Why transfer to Kak Nor instead of Hunger Hurts directly?
To ensure the children receive their funds as quickly as possible. Bypassing our central account removes a processing step (As we would still end up transfer the funds to our community rep). Kak Nor has been our trusted resident representative since 2020, and our team monitors the process to guarantee every child receives their exact sponsored amount.
What is the campaign timeline?
We are collecting sponsorships from March 9th to April 9th, 2026. Since many families travel back to their hometowns for the holidays, we anticipate to distribute the pocket money directly to the children shortly after the first week of Eid unless time permits to disburse earlier.
Is there a specific sponsorship amount required?
There is no fixed amount as it is entirely up to you! However, we track all donations closely. If we notice an imbalance (especially among siblings), we may reach out via WhatsApp to suggest reallocating your pledge to another student, ensuring a fair Eid for everyone.
Is this a one-time or recurring sponsorship?
This is a one-time donation specifically for Eid. If you are interested in supporting these children long-term or providing other necessities in the future, please feel free to reach out to us at 018-210-7022 via WhatsApp.
Will all the children receive an equal amount?
While we aim to provide similar baseline amounts across the board, we refrain from strictly forcing every child to receive the exact same total. Older children and teenagers generally have different spending needs and benefit more from extra pocket money compared to younger children. We believe a practical, needs-adjusted approach is fairer and more beneficial than strict equality.
